Completely original is always unnecessary: It might sound cool, but if it's too original (eg. A mechanic based on various ways to stack beanbags.) then it can just alienate your target audiences.

The "beanbad" mechanics I came up with just now.
Starts with 2 bean bags with upper limit of 10.
-Basic success = If you can get at least one beanbag just somewhat landed on top of another. The more the better.
-vs difficulty. The higher the better.
4 methods:
1) Dropping. (x1 points)
2) Vertical throw-drop (x2 points)
3) Juggle throw-drops (x4 points)
4) Behind back overhead throw-drop (x8 points)
Fate point = bonus bags, or retries.
