劇透 -   :
Canis Mysterium is an adventure scenario for the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying system designed to be played in one or more gaming sessions. This scenario is suitable as an introduction to a new campaign or can easily be worked into an established storyline. As written, this adventure is set in and near Arkham of October 1930. In "The Werewolf of Coldwater Falls", the investigators are called upon to research the strange psychology behind a man exhibiting canine behaviors, discovered with the shinbone of a missing girl dangling from his maw.

Several scenario seeds are offered to keepers who wish to expand and continue the events of this gaming adventure, perhaps giving birth to a brand new campaign or providing handy subplot sessions to pre-existing campaigns.

Call of Cthulhu in the Great Depression.

Experts predict that the want and suffering of the Great Depression will create "a generation of cannibals." Panicked people flee their homes to escape a devastating invasion and poison gas attack. Life comes to a standstill as people watch a strange dust descend from the sky.

The spread of the Great Depression and the first rumblings of a new World War cause a sense of angst and doubt to grow; fueled by rumors, media, and personal expectations that things will get even worse. Dust storms sweep across the continent, and newsreels show the collapse of Europe and Asia. Adults worry that the next generation will grow up to become criminals and barbarians.

No bad news sounds implausible, no crisis seems unbelievable.

This scenario has the capacity for up to 32 people to be involved, playing in several overlapping games. On the surface this scenario is in the traditional Call of Cthulhu mold, based at a country house in the late 1920s. It can be run as a single game with one keeper and up to six players, in the usual manner, but what sets it apart is that it is designed to be run as two or more parallel games. To date it has been run successfully with four simultaneous games, using a total of seven keepers and twenty-four players. Whichever option you go for, the basic game concept remains the same: Julian Gatsby has meddled in matters that he should not have, leaving the players and himself to experience strange and mysterious events -- until the players find a solution.

The House of R’lyeh contains five scenarios that closely follow the events of H.P. Lovecraft stories. They are set in Boston, Providence, the British Isles, continental Europe and the Middle East. None of the scenarios need to be played at set dates or in a set order, but they could be run in the order presented to form a loose campaign using optional links between scenarios to draw investigators from one to the other.

Alternatively, the scenarios may be used to supplement classic Call of Cthulhu campaigns such as The Shadows of Yog-Sothoth and The Fungi from Yuggoth, the latter currently in print as The Day of the Beast, both of which suggest their component scenarios should be interspersed with others.

In 1736 the future of the Arkham Congregationalist Seminary appears uncertain. Two groups seek to define its fate. One, led by the president and founder of the school, councils that the school should hew closely to its intended purpose: to teach young men how to spread the word of God and the reading of His Book in the Congregationalist fashion. The opposition, led by a brilliant young English doctor, argues the school must expand its mission to survive. Underlying this conflict is another, much deeper issue regarding the very nature of scholarship, and the fissure between Faith and Reason.

This adventures is drawn from the Cthulhu Master's Tournament. Unique in its setting, "The Last Trial" includes six fully developed characters, new monsters and magic, surprising and unsettling plot twists and a horrific finale.

In this scenario, set in Europe in 1928, the investigators travel between England and Crete, receiving a newspaper article along with a small note from their honoured friend William Tanislow. William, an English curator, has been recently commissioned to work alongside the famous biologist Dr. Harold Bantry. The photograph accompanying the article is dated late April 1928 and is of William smartly dressed and smiling. He is shaking hands with a portly gentleman who sports a finely shaped moustache. A striking feature of the photograph is a beautifully shaped necklace, the Stone of Concordance, hanging around Williams’s companion’s neck. The gentleman is the friendly British Foreign Minister Wilfred Forbes. After recently pushing the British government hard for William to receive the commission of working alongside Dr Bantry, the photograph of the pair shows his gratification at the outcome. Unknown to him and his only daughter Valerie, at the time of the photograph he is but ten days away from a most gruesome death.

A Malefic Cult for Cthulhu Dark Ages.

The Pastores are a fertility cult rooted in an alliance of several noble families who worship Shub-Niggurath in her form of the Magna Mater, and a variety of other Mythos entities under the guise of her sacrificed Son.

The first part of this book describes the Pastores in detail – their beliefs, their practices, and the resources, allies, and leaders with which they threaten the health of the realm and any investigators unfortunate enough to encounter them. It includes advice on how to incorporate and utilize them to best effect in a new or ongoing Cthulhu Dark Ages campaign. The second part of the book contains scenarios featuring the Pastores. Together, they constitute a loosely connected campaign.

Welcome to Queensguard! Queensguard is a short campaign for the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game. It is set in an alternate version of America in which steam technology and magic are woven into the fabric of society.

Queensguard is divided into two acts, each of which should consume approximately two four-hour game sessions. The campaign strives to be consistently fast-paced and exciting, and it takes advantage of the unusual setting. Investigation, clever planning, and physical combat are all important. For a plotted scenario, Queensguard grants players a large degree of freedom. Key tasks within each act may be completed in any order, frequent “Contingency” sections help the keeper adapt the plot to varied player choices, and players may succeed or fail in Act 1 without foreclosing opportunities in Act 2.

The four-session campaign detailed in this book need not be the end of your adventures in the Kingdom of America. A substantial amount of information about the politics, history, technology, and magic of the setting is provided in the next chapter, “A Tour of the World of Queensguard.” The two campaign chapters contain many additional ideas and characters. Using this information and a little creativity, Queensguard can be a steampunk setting for Call of Cthulhu adventures of your own devising.

Three multi-session 1920's scenarios (one in two parts) will challenge your investigators as they encounter the forces of the mythos. Pre-Gen characters are provided, but need not be used, for all but the final scenario.

The Devil is in the Details-- wherein the investigators learn that small mistakes can become bigger ones and the only thing more dangerous than too much knowledge is too little. This scenario takes place during winter, at an old deserted mansion in the Catskill Mountains of New York State

Keys of Madness: Part One, Key West-- wherein investigators journey to Key West to meet with a discredited archeologist who claims to have made an amazing discovery. The first half of this two-part scenario takes place in glamorous Key West, one of the riches cities in America at the time, in the state of Florida.

Keys of Madness: Part Two, Caya Locura-- wherein the investigators come to the end of the missing professor’s trail and view firsthand the wonders and horrors of the past. The second half of this scenario concludes on the lost island of Caya Locura, at the site of the missing professor’s greatest discovery.

Borne Into Darkness-- Wherein investigators seek to solve the mystery of a series of vanishings from a roadside motel and find that small towns often hide the largest terrors. This short investigation completes the collection and takes place in the small town of Litchfield, New Hampshire and serves well as a "Drop In" adventure into an existing campaign.
