Benefit: When you are mounted and use the charge action, your mount can make one turn of up to 90 degrees as part of the move, as long as each part of the move is at least 10 feet. You may make an attack during any part of this move. Your total movement for the round can’t exceed double your mounted speed. Allied creatures do not impede your charge, though you cannot attack from or end your move in an ally’s space.

Normal: You cannot turn when making a charge.

A breakthrough in Nidalese alchemy led to the creation of glooms, magical fields of darkness from the Shadow Plane that can be momentarily animated with the use of strange compounds. These mixtures are quite efficacious, leading to the spread of their use throughout the rest of the Inner Sea region.

Gloom (Su): A gloom chymist is skilled at mixing potent concoctions known as glooms, which are infused with shadow energy. A gloom is identical to a bomb except that it deals 1d6 points of cold damage + additional damage equal to the gloom chymist’s Intelligence modifier. This damage increases by 1d6 for every 2 alchemist levels beyond 1st the gloom chymist has. A gloom does not qualify as a bomb for the purposes of feats or discoveries.
This ability replaces bomb.

Umbral Gloom (Su): At 2nd level, whenever a gloom chymist makes a gloom, he can have it increase or decrease the light level by one step within its splash radius, in addition to its other effects. This change lasts for a number of rounds equal to the gloom chymist’s Intelligence modifier. At 8th level, the gloom chymist expend two uses of his daily glooms to increase or decrease light levels as per daylight or deeper darkness, respectively, using his alchemist level as the caster level.
This ability replaces poison resistance, poison use, and swift poisoning.

Blightseekers are alchemists devoted to the study of fungi native to the Darklands. While diverse fungi exist on the surface world, the unique combination of environmental conditions found in the Darklands fosters the growth of unpredictable and otherworldly fungal growths.

Spore Bomb (Su): At 1st level, a blightseeker creates a special kind of alchemist bomb that delivers a payload of alchemically engineered fungal spores. These bombs infest their target with a virulent blight (see below). The blightseeker’s bombs deal 1d4 points of damage (instead of 1d6), plus 1d4 points of damage for every 2 alchemist levels beyond 1st.

A creature that takes a direct hit from a spore bomb must succeed at a Fortitude save (DC = 10 + half the blightseeker’s level + his Intelligence modifier) or suffer the associated blight effects. Creatures that take splash damage from the bomb are not affected by the blight.
This ability alters bombs.

Blights (Ex): At 1st level, a blightseeker gains the blights from the list below. When he prepares bombs at the start of the day, a blightseeker chooses which blight to apply to each bomb. If a blight has no duration listed, it lasts a number of rounds equal to the blightseeker’s Intelligence modifier. At 1st level, a blightseeker gains the following blights.

Impairing: The target’s base land speed decreases by 10 feet, to a minimum of 10 feet. This effect doesn’t stack with itself.

Minor Sickening: The target is sickened, but it takes only a –1 penalty on affected rolls.

At 6th level, a blightseeker adds the following blights to the list of those that can be applied to his bombs.
Fatiguing: The target is fatigued.
Fear-Inducing: The target is shaken.
Sickening: The target is sickened.

At 12th level, a blightseeker adds the following blights to the list of those blights that can be applied to his bombs.
Confusing: The target is confused.
Exhausting: The target is exhausted.
Nauseating: The target is nauseated for 1 round.
Staggering: The target becomes staggered for 1 round.

At 18th level, a blightseeker adds the following blights to the list of those that can be selected.
Blinding: The target is blinded.
Deafening: The target is deafened.

The oozemaster is a specialized alchemist who fights and ensnares oozes. An oozemaster carefully studies the characteristics of the oozes he hunts to help him create new and more effective mutagens and bombs.

Class Skills: An oozemaster gains Knowledge (dungeoneering) as a class skill but does not gain Knowledge (nature) as a class skill.

Ooze Bomb (Su): An oozemaster’s bombs deal acid damage instead of fire damage, and they deal damage only on a direct hit; they do not splash. A creature damaged by an ooze bomb takes additional acid damage equal to the oozemaster’s Intelligence modifier at the start of the oozemaster’s next turn. A creature can take this delayed damage only once per round; additional hits extend the duration of the ongoing damage by 1 round each.

An oozemaster cannot select discoveries that change the type of damage dealt by his bombs, nor those that affect the bomb’s splash radius.
This ability otherwise functions as and replaces the bomb class feature.

Ooze Toxin (Ex): An oozemaster can extract deadly toxins from the bodies of slain oozes and use them against his foes, making him a deadly opponent with unpredictable stratagems. As a full-round action while adjacent to an ooze that died within the past 10 minutes, an oozemaster can attempt a Craft (alchemy) check with a DC equal to 10 + the ooze’s Challenge Rating to create a toxin. If successful, the oozemaster can extract a number of doses of toxin from an ooze equal to half its Constitution modifier (minimum 1). These toxins remain potent for 1 hour before becoming inert.

The oozemaster can throw an ooze toxin as a ranged touch attack with a range increment of 10 feet, or he can apply the toxin to a weapon as if it were an injury poison. The toxin deals 1d6 points of acid damage plus an additional 1d6 points of acid damage per 3 Hit Dice the ooze had. If the ooze had any additional effects conveyed by its slam attack other than grab (such as a gelatinous cube’s paralysis ability), the oozemaster can also apply these qualities to this attack. The save DC for additional abilities produced by this attack is 10 + half the alchemist’s level + the alchemist’s Intelligence modifier.
This ability replaces Brew Potion, though an oozemaster can still select Brew Potion without meeting the feat’s prerequisites.

Ooze Resistance: At 2nd level, an oozemaster becomes especially resistant to the abilities of his chosen foes. He gains a +2 bonus on saving throws against the extraordinary and supernatural abilities of oozes. This bonus increases by +1 at 5th level and every 3 levels thereafter, to a maximum of +8 at 20th level.
This replaces poison resistance and poison immunity.

Discoveries: The following discoveries complement the oozemaster archetype: bottled oozeUM, ooze blight, and splitting mutagen.

Saurian champions do not deal double damage when charging with a lance (or similar weapon) while mounted. While mounted, a saurian champion cannot attack with ranged weapons other than thrown weapons.

Titanic Challenge (Ex): A saurian champion considers only the largest creatures a true challenge. His titanic challenge adds only half his level on damage rolls against Medium or smaller creatures, but he adds a +1 bonus on attack rolls against a target of his challenge that is at least two size categories larger than himself (Huge for Medium saurian champions) and a +2 bonus on attack rolls against a Colossal target of his challenge.
This alters challenge.

Wild Warrior (Ex): A saurian champion hails from primeval lands where the civilized orders hold little sway. He does not select an order or gain any order-related benefits.
This replaces order.

Dinosaur Mount (Ex): A saurian champion bonds with a dinosaur companion that willingly serves as his mount. This mount functions as a cavalier’s normal mount with the following adjustments: The saurian champion’s mount must be a dinosaur (see the various Pathfinder RPG Bestiary volumes). The saurian champion can ride mounts of his size category and larger, rather than only those of a larger size. Increase the mount’s Strength score by 8 for the purpose of determining its carrying capacity. Whenever an ability or feat allows the saurian champion’s mount to make a hoof attack, the mount can make a claw or bite attack instead.
This alters the cavalier’s mount and replaces tactician, greater tactician, and master tactician.

Nimble Rider (Ex): At 2nd level, a saurian champion gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC when mounted. Anything that causes the saurian champion to lose his Dexterity bonus to AC also causes him to lose this dodge bonus. This bonus increases by 1 for every 6 levels beyond 2nd (to a maximum of +4 at 20th level).

Fierce Devotion (Ex): At 5th level, a saurian champion’s mount gains the devotion ability, and its effects also apply against emotion and fear effects. The mount is immune to the effects of unnatural aura (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 2 303).
This replaces banner.

Quick Rider (Ex): At 8th level, a saurian champion can attempt Ride checks to fast mount or fast dismount his mount even if it’s more than one size category larger than himself.

Titanic Mount (Ex): At 10th level, a saurian champion’s mount increases in size by one category (even if the base creature normally does not reach that size). The creature receives the appropriate size penalty on attack rolls and to AC (–1 if growing to Large or –2 if growing to Huge) and a –2 penalty to Dexterity (to a minimum Dexterity score of 1), its base damage increases by one size category, and its reach increases to 10 feet (if it wasn’t already). It also gains a +2 size bonus to its Strength and Constitution score. At 12th, 14th, 16th, and 18th levels, the bonus to Strength increases by 2 and the mount’s natural armor increases by 1. At 14th and 18th levels, the bonus to Constitution increases by 2. At 15th level, the mount’s reach increases to 15 feet.

Primeval Devotion (Ex): At 14th level, the bonus on saving throws provided by the mount’s devotion ability increases by 2. In addition, the mount adds half this bonus to other saving throws.

Some residents of Triaxus, envious of the close connection between dragonriders and dragons, attempt to emulate this relationship by raising drake hatchlings. These efforts aren’t always successful, sometimes leaving the would-be drakeriders dead or maimed.

Drake Mount: A drakerider gains a drake companion instead of a mount. She gains cavalier’s charge at 9th level instead of 3rd.
This ability replaces mount, tactician, expert trainer, banner, greater tactician, greater banner, and master tactician and alters cavalier’s charge.

Approved Order: A drakerider can join only an order approved by its mount. Suitable orders include order of the beastISC, order of the cockatrice, and order of the dragon, as well as other fitting orders at the GM’s discretion.

  Paladins who serve as priests of Apsu are almost always on the move, wandering from place to place and trying to show their dedication to the Waybringer in their deeds rather than depending on mere words. Good-aligned dragons are more likely to treat such paladins as they would treat other dragons (though perhaps not with the respect reserved for other true dragons), and evil dragons often target them as special threats.
  More rarely a drake is so inspired by a paladin of Apsu that it chooses to assist the paladin in all her actions. These drake allies see the benefit of a silver champion remaining mobile and understand the powerful threats the champion must face, and in time even consent to serve their chosen paladins as a steed. Silver champions are often concerned by their drake allies’ pragmatic natures, however, and are sure to treat them with respect, knowing that these lesser dragons must constantly be inspired to act on their better natures.

Deity: A silver champion must worship Apsu.

Drake Mount: At 5th level, a silver champion gains a drake companion. If the drake companion is at least one size larger than the silver champion, it gains the mount drake power as a bonus power. However, a silver champion doesn’t gain additional uses per day of smite evil at 4th, 10th, and 16th levels, and doesn’t gain mercies at 6th, 12th, and 18th levels.
This ability replaces divine bond, channel energy, aura of justice, and aura of righteousness, and alters smite evil and mercy.

Dragon Magic: The silver champion does not have access to the normal paladin spell list. She instead adds the 1st- through 4th-level spells from the domains granted by Apsu (Artifice, Good, Law, Scalykind, Travel) and the god’s associated subdomains (Archon, Construct, Dragon, Exploration, Toil, and Trade) to her class spell list. A silver champion casts one fewer spell of each level than normal. If this reduces the number to less than 0, she can’t cast spells of that level.
This ability modifies the paladin’s spellcasting.
